7 Ways to End a Blog Post

Are you struggling with ending your blog posts? Do you stress out every time just trying to figure out what to do at the end?

Then let’s look at the top 7 ways that bloggers usually end their posts.

We all want to be different and stand out, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t look to see what is working for the big named bloggers. They got to where they are by tons of trial and error, so skip some of the work by learning from them.

You may end up testing out all of these ways to figure out what works best for you, but at least it is less trail and errors than going through every way you could end a  blog post.

Maybe you will use a different way to end a blog post depending on the type of post you write. Maybe not, but that is all up to you.

Top 7 ways to end a blog post

Sounds simple right? After having years of English classes making you write essay after essay this becomes one of the most common features. A conclusion of an essay is just a summary to end it all. So, summarize away and end those posts with that lovely overview perfect for your post.

Ask readers to share

Sharing on social media is a way that can gain you more traffic to your site and posts. Ask your lovely readers to help you out by sharing the post to their social media sites. Make sure you give them easy access to share with those sharing buttons either on the side or right below the post.

Ask questions

Want readers to interact more? Then ask them questions. It is much easier to leave a comment when they ask you something at the end of the post. Of course, it can be about anything you want, but it is best to be something that relates to the article. That way there is more potential for comments on your post which is always wanted.

Link to the best resources

Sometimes you may not have all of the information and you want to let people know of some really great articles. Well, link them to those wonderful resources that you even find helpful. This is not always the best if the resources are not reliable and because it takes them off of your site, but that is your call. Sometimes it is needed.

Link to your related posts

Many have related posts already under the post, but sometimes it doesn’t go to ones that actually will help them out. Add more related posts at the end and let them know that they can keep reading such great information you have for them. Or let them check out posts that are a part of the series in order so that they know where to go next.

Share a preview of future posts

Let your readers know what is come up in the future. Maybe you already have some posts scheduled for the next week that is related and want them to come back for it. Let them know how much value it could be for them and share a little snippet of what they can expect.

Promote offerings

Got anything to sell or an email opt-in for your readers? Then promote it! Let them know what you have to offer them. Maybe it will get them to sign up for your newsletters so that they won’t miss out on anything. Or maybe it will redirect them to a course or product you have available that will benefit them and build your clientele.

There you go.

Make writing easier on yourself by looking at what works for many top bloggers. Ending a post can be a difficult task, but with these 7 ways, it should be much easier on you to finish those amazing posts of yours.

You may end up using more than one way to end a post. Sometimes each post requires a different type of ending and you should respect that and give it the ending that fits. Don’t try to force an ending either. Make it flow the way it should.

With many ways to end a blog post, you should be able to test them all out and find what works for you. Let’s recap.
