8 Main EDM Festivals In California

Ever wonder what EDM festival you could go to? Usually, people decide first by how close the festival is to them. Well for Californians it doesn’t seem to be as big of an issue. California hosts a lot of EDM festivals and Southern California has the luxury to be able to go to Las Vegas festivals pretty easy as well.

Sounds unfair to others, but we don’t exactly control the location of these festivals. Living in California does give you closer access to these wonderful events though.

So, what EDM festivals are in California?

Technically, some other festivals could be added to this list as well, but the reason they are not is that it is not mostly EDM artists. Other festivals, like Coachella, have maybe a couple EDM artists, but not nearly close to these other festivals. All of these festivals listed above are almost purely EDM based.

Which is wonderful for those that don’t like other genres of music. There is no reason to attend a festival for music you truly don’t like or wait for hours waiting for just 1 EDM artist to play.

These festivals have outstanding lineups as well. There really is something for everyone. Let’s get more detailed.

Beyond Wonderland

Ever wanted to feel like you fell into the world of Alice in Wonderland? Look no further! Beyond Wonderland is an Insomniac festival that is based on Alice in Wonderland. With stages named after memorable characters and performers dressed to fit the part.

California does have a lot of EDM festivals throughout the year. Oddly enough, most tend to be hosted by Insomniac in one way or another.

If you love EDM and won’t be able to make it to any of the festivals, don’t worry too much. There are plenty of EDM shows going on throughout California as well.

If one of your favorite artists aren’t performing at these festivals, then check to see if they are going on tour. If so, check into what date is closest to you and try to make it to their show.

Trust me you will enjoy yourself so much more if you get to hear some of your favorite artists. Good thing is that many popular and outstanding artists do perform at these festivals. You may even find a new artist to add to your favorites.
